After A Full-Fledged Fuss...
After a great fuss, a belated realization that I am nothing. A fresh revelation that there was nothing but a mirage that the next thing I knew a huge law firm of the U.S. had appeared on my humble blog page as my Adsence supporter or partner...

I Can't Stand the Insult Anymore!
Google Koreans, I warn you to do the right thing, with good intentions, with modesty, and effectively. It's my impression that you guys, so-called Google Koreans, go to great lengths to give hard time on the Korean nationals, including me. Why do you do that? Are your egos satisfied, doing so giggling away? The first sign has been that you guys had forced me to go through unnecessary and humiliating procedures whenever I had tried to open new blog pages. and the second sign has been that they asked me to pass the same procedures I had earlier done with two days before through the medium of the English language. Earning money is good, but I am not patient enough to stand the insult infringed upon me.
Sincerely
Shimmanni

Everything Is Fuzzy in the Internet Era
In the middle of the Internet Era, I am looking back on the Flint Age, when everyone and everything was evident to everyone. Father and mother was one and the only one. The country we served was one and the only one just like the Sun is.
In the Flint Age, when my father of stout build made a fire by striking a flint, my mother did her utmost to preserve it. When she "killed," of all things, the seed of fire, she was taken to task by my fearful Grandma, who might have considered the "sin" of extinguishing worthy of being expelled from the nest we call family.
Today everything is not crystal clear. Everything is fuzzy and uncertain. It is just like we are going through foggy tunnels. The Sun is still one and only one, but the country, which should have been served with patriotism and allegiance, is not only one anymore. Even father and mother is not one and only one no longer.
A huge number of Korean people live in "two-house families," the one house in Seoul or some other metropolis and the other house in Los Angeles, New York or Washington, D.C. As a natural result, they usually hold dual citizenships, that is, parents are Korean and their offspring is American. In the same context, patriotism and allegiance might be torn between the two countries.
Children of the Internet Era have come to acquire a wisdom to survive. Power between the husband and the wife turns out to be a leverage which should tilt the scale of human existence. The children are used to side with the powerful parent. A comedian-turned woman newscaster, who had turned her ex-husband out from her luxury apartment, once said to the press, "I am very proud of my daughters, who promised me to "make new father" for me."

English Is the System of Homonyms!
[원문]: That just about says it all. Search, a marketing method that didn't exist a decade ago, provides the most efficient and inexpensive way for businesses to find leads. In the past five years, the number of unique advertisers who have implemented search marketing programs has gone from the thousands to the hundreds of thousands. Google alone boasts more than 225,000 unique advertiser relationships. Try that with network television! (The Search, John Battelle)

[comments]::1)I am tempted, first of all, to shout to the ears of the translator or the translators, "Cut the crap, you dude!" I wonder whether the person called the translator is anything but a human being at all. How is this possible only if the translator or the translators have eyes to see with and heads to think with?
2)Like any other language of the civilized nations, the English language has the system of homographs or homonyms. Which means that it has words that are spelled the same and/or pronounced the same or different but have different meanings. Therefore, a translator should not, without thinking, pick a specific meaning listed on the top of any word from an English dictionary and transcribe it to his or her translations.
3)The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in that he has misconstrued the word 'lead' to mean 우위, that is, "the first position", "forward position", or "front position." I find myself at a loss what to say, watching him say to the effect that "businesses hold marketing superiority," or something.
4)Marketing means the purchase of daily household goods in particular and the researching and advertising activities of goods and services in general. So, "marketing leads" in this case means that all the tips for successful marketing, that is, "presenting products and services to potential customers" (Encarta World English Dictionary). Herein you find the words clues, information, patterns, hints and signposts synonymous with leads.
5)In brief, "marketing leads" mean marketing information. But you do not say "marketing information" because they are "not companion words," which should get divorced. You should say "marketing leads," which has been a mode of English speaking. That's all.

The Sameness in Meaning:Apposition
[원문]: Philippe had no control over the order. He owed it money. He had been humiliated when fleeing a rebellious Paris mob, he was obliged to seek abject refuge in the 'Temple's preceptory. He coveted the Templars' immense wealth, which his sojourn in their premises made flagrantly apparent to him. And having applied to join the order as a postulant, he had suffered the indignity of being haughtily rejected. These factors--together, of course, with the alarming prospect of an independent Templar state at his back door--were sufficient to spur the action. And heresy was a convenient excuse. (Holy Blood and Holy Grail, Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh & Henry Lincoln)

[comments]::1)I think there has been a fundamental misunderstanding by the translator. The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in construing the phrase {{the alarming prospect of an independent Templar state}}to mean that an independent Templar state has a strong possibility. In brief, there is no independent state.
2)The cause for misinterpretation or mistranslation lies in his ignorance about a syntactic structure of the phrase in question. The phrase necessitates a knowledge about an apposition, or appositive, which means the same between two immediate words or phrases. In other words, it holds the semantic equation between "the alarming prospect" and "an independent Templar state." (the alarming prospect=an independent Templar state)
3)"The preposition of-led appositive phrase" can naturally be replaced by "that appositive clause." Demonstration: {{These factors--together, of course, with the alarming prospect of an independent Templar state at his back door--were sufficient to spur the action. }} can be replaced by:{{These factors--together, of course, with the alarming prospect that an independent Templar state might appear at his back door--were sufficient to spur the action. }}
4)The author says that there had been the alarming prospect, that is, apprehension or concern that there might occur an independent Templar state. The concern had not materialized. In brief, an independent state had not been established.

Human Bodies Need to Metabolize
To survive you must have an opening and exit in yourself and in everything about you. You must have nostrils to breathe in. You must also metabolize, that is, you must extricate yourself from organic troubles by expelling wastes in the manner of urination and excretion.
What do plumbers do? According to www.google.com, "they install and repair pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings." However, what if they do not have exits and openings through which they dispose of waste water or something? In other words, were it not for sinks, toilets, or sewers can repair pipes, fixtures, or something like that be of any use?
Let us concede that organizations such as businesses and the government, as a supreme sovereign entity, need to control. But every gamut of constraint ranging from working regulations to disciplines should have their corresponding outlet, that is, their loosening and relaxing aspects. If even the government, "for reason of the state" (Choamsky) only imposed restrictions on the population to the extent that they turn out to be an impasse, you can safely say that they do the people harm rather than good.
Let me take one example. I wish to point out that the government of Shangrilla should resemble the Jacobean rule during the period of the French Revolution and the Sobriety Government of the U.S. during the period of Prohibition Law of 1919. The two moralistic-oriented regimes had experienced dual aspects of human character and frustrations of the human society. The attempt to eliminate prostitutions in the French society had failed. The sobriety experimentation had ended up moonshining practices rife with black markets.
The moralistic government of Shangrilla, with the frantic support of the Ministry of Womanhood and its feministic proponents, has done away with whorehouses from the national scene. As a result, "the black markets" are rumored to do fine. Online tips have it that working girls are hitting the road for "the international expedition" across the Pacific Ocean. "Testosterone-laden" juveniles in the middle and high school age brackets, forced to stifle the urges, take on the metamorphosis from innocent teenagers to rapists who make prey of their peers.

On How To Wear A Lot of Hats
[원문]:Templeton was a man who had been around cyberspace so long, and had been at the birth of so many breakthroughs, that he was literally credited with putting the dot in the ".com" when initial decisions were being made about addresses for the Internet. Templeton wore a lot of hats: he was chairman of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a leading privacy advocate; he was Larry's friend and Burning Man's compatriot; he had consulted for Google; and he earned money from having Google-delivered ads on his personal Web site. It was time to turn to him for counsel. (The Google Story, David A. Vise, Mark Malseed)
[to wear a lot of hats]:1)역자가 이른바 ‘의역’을 한 경우에도 그 의미는 “다양한 시각에서 사물이나 사건을 파악” 운운의 의미가 아닙니다. 2)그 바른 의미는 바로 콜론 (colon) 이하에 나와 있는 것입니다. 따라서 여기에서의 “to wear a lot of hats"는 우리말의 ”감투를 많이 쓰다“의 영어적 표현일 뿐입니다.
[comments]::1)As in other languages of civilized nations, the evolution or the conversion of the English language meaning takes on the form from physical to euphemistic. When you say, "He wears a lot of hats," you refer to his physical condition. "He" literally and physically wears a lot of hats.
2)On how to do it, the author or the speaker sometimes might or might not mention it. The protagonist might wear one hat after the other, or in other times he might wear hats at the same time, with one hat on top of the other. Why does he need so many hats? One probable reason might be that the owner's hair was falling out. (cf.www.google.com)
3)When the author or the authors talked about "a lot of hats," he or they only meant "various jobs." Or various influential positions the protagonist had held. The author did not mean to say that the protagonist "Templeton has balanced perspective viewpoints on things." It's been a sheer creation of the Korean translator, which might seem plausible and succeed in deceiving his readers from time to time.
4)Syntactically speaking, you can see "a lot of hats," which the author or the authors meant, in what the punctuation mark colon (:) enumerates: (a)chairman of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, (b)Larry's friend (c)Burning Man's compatriot (d)Google consultant (e)Web site manager.
5)The English language is the system of relationships. Can't you see the relationship between the phrase {{a lot of hats}} and what the punctuation mark colon enumerates? It has the relationship of concept and its extension (kinds).
